The DC15 Dry-Type Holiday Detector is a high-voltage instrument designed to identify pinholes, pores, holidays and other discontinuities in dielectric coatings applied over conductive substrates.
The instrument uses regulated, adjustable DC voltage up to 15 kV. During inspection, the electrode is moved across the coated surface while the substrate is connected to the ground system. When a defect provides an electrical path to the substrate, the detector signals the discontinuity with audible and visual alarms.
