Its double-sided design provides measurements in two units: micrometers (µm) and mils, offering versatility for metric and imperial coating specifications.
To perform a measurement, place the gauge perpendicular to the wet coating, press until the support points contact the substrate, then remove it and observe which notches have been wetted by the coating.
